Hi,
This article should use <pre style="background: #ffffff; border: 0px; padding-left: 2em; margin: 0em;"></pre> instead of <br/> .
Also shouldn't it be split in several pages ? Yann 14:34, 1 Apr 2005 (UTC)
I split it in several pages but I don't understand how to use <pre style... Isidore33 09:25, 23 Apr 2005 (UTC)
some bibliographical detail please? Which edition is the text based on?? 213.3.71.18 17:20, 8 Μαρτίου 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, it would be really helpful to know the source of the text. This must have been a huge amount of work to scan, OCR, and correct! Thank you, whoever did that! Here are some errors I've noted that should be fixed. (1) The accentuation of ὁ/ὃ is inconsistent at lines 1.9 and 1.12. Different editions use different conventions about whether or not to accent this word when it's used as a third-person pronoun, but it should be done consistently. (2) Missing quotation marks at some spots in book 2, e.g., 2.200. 2603:8000:8901:F00:F984:9910:A8C1:FFF7 16:04, 25 Φεβρουαρίου 2022 (UTC)
- The source is this Μεταγραφή:Homeri Opera, vol. 1 (1920).djvu and this Μεταγραφή:Homeri Opera, vol. 2 (1920).djvu.

- I see, thanks for the info. So it looks like the errors at 1.12 and 2.200 are probably errors in an OCR of Monro that were not caught by whoever corrected the OCR.
- I see now that one can discover the source of the text by going to a page like Ιλιάς/Α's and clicking on the Πηγή link, but what seems to be confusing people like 213.3.71.18 and me is that when you hit this page, there is no obvious way to know that. I'm not familiar with how wikisource is normally formatted and organized for a book like this, but maybe there is some way to make that clearer...? 2603:8000:8901:F00:F984:9910:A8C1:FFF7 17:29, 25 Φεβρουαρίου 2022 (UTC)
- It's confusing that the history shows 1.8 as Τίς γάρ σφωε until a big edit in 2017 in which it became Monro's Τίς τ’ ἄρ σφωε. Was it originally based on a different source, and only later changed so that it was based on Monro? 2603:8000:8901:F00:F984:9910:A8C1:FFF7 17:43, 25 Φεβρουαρίου 2022 (UTC)
- Yes, the initial entry dates back in 2005, from an source not mentioned, the index pages were created in 2017, but the text has not been thoroughly corrected since.

In book 4, the quotation marks are missing at lines 189 and 191.--2603:8000:8901:F00:14C4:A507:D5E0:573F 00:58, 9 Μαρτίου 2022 (UTC)
More missing quotation marks at 3.365-368. --2603:8000:8900:6E00:895F:F999:DB8D:AEEF 21:38, 29 Μαρτίου 2022 (UTC) Also missing quotation marks at 5.124-132.--2603:8000:8900:6E00:3DE6:91E8:264D:F506 21:09, 7 Απριλίου 2022 (UTC)
There is a mistake in Iliad 9.425, "νηυσὶν ἔπι γλαφυρῇς, ἐπεὶ οὔ σφισιν ἧδέ γ’ ἑτοίμη". The accent on ἥδε should be acute, not circumflex.--2603:8000:8900:6E00:48C9:9B25:7539:A3E6 18:02, 12 Νοεμβρίου 2022 (UTC)
